Brian Lipford – Key Tech Co-Founder Retiring, joining Key Tech Advisory Board

Brian Lipford, a Key Tech co-founder and member of the Executive Committee, is retiring at the end of this year after 24 years with the company. After managing many technical projects while the company was getting its footing, Brian shifted his focus to leading Strategic Development at Key Tech. In this role, Brian focused on creating and developing new products and intellectual property for acquisition through spin-out companies of Key Tech.

Over the years Brian successfully raised funding via NIH grants and private investors to support the development of strategic products such as Ultracrit, acquired by Thermo Fisher in 2006, the Ally Uterine Positioning System, acquired by CooperSurgical in 2012 and CoolStat, which is in clinical trials today. Brian’s efforts in successfully commercializing these products, in turn, helped build out Key Tech’s quality systems, processes, and regulatory knowledge to what they are today. Brian will be missed by the many Key Techers and MedTech leaders he’s gotten to know over the years while managing Key Tech and driving the development of these home-grown products.

In retirement, Brian will assume a position on the recently formed Key Tech Advisory Board, along with Tracy MacNeal, Keith Knapp, and Andrew Dallas, where he will continue to provide both his entrepreneurial and seasoned operational insights to Key Tech in regular Advisory Board meetings.

Brian – Congrats on the retirement!
